Mendon Unity pushed their score all the way to 66 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 78-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Quincy Notre Dame. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (56), Mendon Unity still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, West Prairie's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their eighth straight loss. They fell to Havana 49-43. West Prairie has struggled against Havana recently, as their match on Wednesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the defeat, West Prairie saw an underclassman step up: Braden Coplan scored 24 points. That was a full 55.8% of West Prairie's points, marking the 12th time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Matt Whitman, who scored eight points.
Mendon Unity's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for West Prairie, their defeat was their 24th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-23.
