Byne Christian has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Wakulla Christian School Saints at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Thursday, Byne Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 61-56 to Valwood.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Wakulla Christian School, who are still winless after their 12th match. They took a 73-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of Jefferson County on Saturday. Wakulla Christian School has struggled against Jefferson County recently, as their matchup on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Seth Barwick, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Jackson Lawhon was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with two steals.
Byne Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-10. As for Wakulla Christian School, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 0-12.
Everything came up roses for Byne Christian against Wakulla Christian School in their previous matchup on Tuesday as the team secured a 74-30 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Byne Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
