The Flagstaff Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fourth straight loss. They lost to Bradshaw Mountain on the road by a decisive 49-32 margin. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Flagstaff in their matchups with Bradshaw Mountain: they've now lost three in a row.
Flagstaff's loss came despite strong showings from Jadon Wetzel and Chase Brown. Wetzel gained 250 total yards and three touchdowns, while Brown threw for 412 yards and four touchdowns while completing 74.1% of his passes. Joe Beitler was in the mix as well, providing Flagstaff with two touchdowns.
Kylin Jackson had a dynamite game for Bradshaw Mountain, rushing for 158 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Brayden Munday was another major influence, as he rushed for 86 yards and ran in a TD.
On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Bradshaw Mountain's defensive line and their four sacks. Allan Menchaca was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.
Flagstaff's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Bradshaw Mountain, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Flagstaff will be playing in front of their home fans against Coconino at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Coconino has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 151 points over their last three games. As for Bradshaw Mountain, they will head out on the road to face off against Lee Williams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lee Williams will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive.
