The Northwest Yeshiva Lions can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. They walked away with a 73-64 win over Evergreen Lutheran. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Northwest Yeshiva's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Sam Weichbrodt led the charge by scoring 23 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Kaufthal, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and six steals.
Northwest Yeshiva's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Evergreen Lutheran, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record this season.
Northwest Yeshiva will be playing at home against Quilcene at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Washington (Quilcene is ranked 359th, while Northwest Yeshiva is ranked 339th). As for Evergreen Lutheran, they will head out on the road to take on Auburn Adventist at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Auburn Adventist will be looking to keep their eight-game home win streak alive.
