Dunkirk waltzed into their match on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They skirted past the Olean Huskies 8-6. For the Marauders, this counts as revenge for the 21-16 victory the Huskies walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

Anthony Piede was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with three stolen bases and three runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Valentine, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

Dunkirk's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Olean, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-3.

Coming up, Dunkirk will be playing at home against Allegany-Limestone at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Gators have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.64 runs per game on average), something the Marauders will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Olean, they will square off against Griffith Institute at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
