The Northglenn Norsemen are taking a road trip to face off against the Loveland Red Wolves at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Northglenn will be strutting in after a win while Loveland will be coming in after a loss.
Northglenn was handed a 18-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Mountain Range 5-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Norsemen have posted since March 22nd.

Jayden Galaviz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Alonso Sandoval was excellent, going 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Hunter Campbell, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one run and one double.
Meanwhile, Loveland fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Rocky Mountain on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 11-7 to the Lobos. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since May 3, 2022, but that streak is no more.
Loveland saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex Martin, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Karter Butler was another, getting on base in three of his six plate appearances with two runs.
Northglenn's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-14. As for Loveland, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-14.
Northglenn suffered a grim 11-0 defeat to Loveland in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Norsemen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
