Hunter Fraley and Levi Brumbaugh certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Fraley to rack up 11 points, while Brumbaugh posted seven points in addition to five assists and three steals. Those 11 points gave Fraley a new career-high.
The victory was the third in a row for Versailles, bringing their record for this year to 18-6. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.3 points over those games. As for Milton-Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests. That lines up perfectly with their 6-18 record this season.
A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Tigers take on the Cougars on Friday. Versailles knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five matchups -- so hopefully Clark Montessori likes a good challenge.
