A Season-Best Performance from Kaleb Willoughby Leads Byers over Simla
Byers was led to victory by Kaleb Willoughby, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Willoughby rushed for 266 yards and three touchdowns. The effort marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in August of 2023. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced a fumble and made 13 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
The victory for Byers keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Willoughby will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant performance when he faces off against Elbert on Saturday.

Trechter Came Up Big in St. Mary's 24-20 Victory
Michael Trechter was a major factor in St. Mary's win over Calhan on Friday. Trechter was dynamite, throwing for 196 yards and a touchdown while completing 75% of his passes, and also rushing for 80 yards.
This year, Trechter has thrown 10 touchdowns (and and only 2 pick) while averaging 183.4 passing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he had six passing touchdowns.
