Basketball Recap: Hannah-Pamplico's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Hannah-Pamplico needed a changed in momentum after dropping five straight games and they got it from Tylin Jenkins. The Hannah-Pamplico Raiders strolled past the Aynor Blue Jackets with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 55-41 thanks in part to Jenkins, who dropped a double-double on 30 points and 13 rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 2.7 steals per game.

Another player making a difference was De'Auje Bacchus, who posted nine points and seven assists. Those seven assists gave him a new career-high.

Several Blue Jackets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Austin Tanyika, who put up nine points and eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas Kamp, who went 6 of 11 on his way to 17 points.

Hannah-Pamplico's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Aynor, they dropped their record down to 4-4 with the loss, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hannah-Pamplico and Lake View will compete for holiday cheer at 8:00 p.m. on December 17th. As for Aynor, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 47-31 defeat against Pee Dee Academy on the 13th.
