The Tooele Buffaloes lost against the Jordan Beetdiggers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Tooele suffered a rough 61-40 defeat at the hands of the Beetdiggers. Tooele has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the loss, Tooele saw an underclassman step up: Kennedy Searle scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two blocks. Searle hasn't dropped below two blocks for six straight games. Another player making a difference was Josie Kennedy, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Tess Joseph continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Jordan, almost dropping a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. Joseph is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Tess Jacobson, who scored six points along with seven assists.
Tooele's loss dropped their record down to 7-9. As for Jordan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-10 record this season.
Tooele will be playing in front of their home fans against the Colts at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Cottonwood will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. Jordan will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Hillcrest is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
