Benton has gone 9-1 against Bucktail recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Tigers are taking a road trip to square off against the Bucks at 4:30 p.m. Benton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
On Friday, Benton beat Millville 8-3.
Ben Farwell was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also got a hit, marking his first of the season.

Bucktail saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Keller Friese, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two triples, two RBI, and one run. Nick Dennis was another, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.
Bucktail's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Benton, their record is now 3-1.
Everything went Benton's way against Bucktail in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, as Benton made off with a 12-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
