Meanwhile, Pungo Christian Academy came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 65-16 win over Northeast Academy on the road. Pungo Christian Academy has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten matchups by 26 points or more this season.
Mattamuskeet's loss dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Pungo Christian Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
Mattamuskeet suffered a grim 70-50 defeat to Pungo Christian Academy when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Mattamuskeet avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
