Basketball Recap: Raul Palacios' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Edinburg North over La Feria

It was a proper cat-fight when Edinburg North faced off against La Feria on Thursday. The Edinburg North Cougars took a 67-54 hit to the loss column at the hands of the La Feria Lions. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Edinburg North's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Raul Palacios, who went 6 for 10 on his way to 15 points. The game was Palacios' tenth in a row with at least ten points. Roel Palacios was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Edinburg North's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for La Feria, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-4.
