The Beatty Hornets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their eighth straight loss. They were beaten by Round Mountain 54-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Beatty has suffered since December 1, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Round Mountain to victory, but perhaps none more so than Keiran Swafford, who scored 22 points along with four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Swafford has scored at least a third of Round Mountain's points. Another player making a difference was Blake Bullington, who scored 13 points along with seven steals.
Beatty dropped their record down to 1-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Round Mountain, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-3 record this season.
Beatty won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pahranagat Valley at 5:30 p.m. on January 27th. Round Mountain's road trip will continue as they head out to face Wells at 3:30 p.m. on January 30th.
