Kendall Christie made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kendal Maher, who went 3-for-5 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Bryn Myrick, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
North Harrison kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Charlestown came up short against Providence on Thursday and fell 5-2.
North Harrison pushed their record up to 13-8 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Charlestown, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-8 record this season.
North Harrison suffered a grim 9-0 defeat to Charlestown in their previous matchup back in April. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
