The Bullis Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Georgetown Visitation Prep Cubs at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
Bullis lost 17-2 to Sidwell Friends on Tuesday. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Quakers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Baani Wadhwa was cooking despite her team's loss, earning one RBI, one run, and two stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Georgetown Visitation Prep made easy work of Maret on Wednesday and carried off a 16-1 victory. That 15-run margin sets a new team best for the Cubs this season.
Sami Farmer made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Farmer was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, Lucie Touomou was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with five RBI, two runs, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. Ainsley Kovarik was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Georgetown Visitation Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .742. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Bullis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Georgetown Visitation Prep, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Bullis might still be hurting after the 17-0 loss they got from Georgetown Visitation Prep in their previous meeting back in April of 2019. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
