The Quincy Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 64-57 to Portola. Quincy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Portola apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played last Saturday.
Portola found their leader in underclassman Connor Sheridan, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. The game was Sheridan's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Liam Bowling was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with 5 rebounds.
Quincy has fallen quite a ways from their 21-5 record last season and are now at 1-7. As for Portola, they now have a winning record of 4-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Quincy is on the road again on December 18th and play against Live Oak at 6:30 p.m. on December 18th. As for Portola, they will face off against East Nicolaus at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
