The Brandon Blackhawks will head out on the road to take on the Owosso Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Brandon is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
Last Friday, Brandon was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 46-45 to the Mustangs.
Riley Abney put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored 25 points along with six rebounds and five steals. That was a full 55.6% of Brandon's points, marking the 13th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Jaden Williamson, who scored eight points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, Owosso suffered a tough 54-33 loss at the hands of the Martians on Friday. While losing is never fun, Owosso can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 293rd, while the Martians are ranked 15th).
Brandon's loss dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Owosso, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.
Brandon was taken down by the Trojans 64-36 in their previous meeting back in January. Can Brandon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
