Sevier County has gone a perfect 3-0 against Lenoir City recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Jade Hubbard made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits (and only one walk). Those two hits allowed gave her a new career-low. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing Three bases. while going 1-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games she's played dating back to last season.
In other batting news, Sevier County got a massive performance out of Emma McClure, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI McClure has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Ashley Morgan, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 2-for-3.
Sevier County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Lenoir City gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener back in February. They walked away with a 7-4 victory over Anderson County.
The win got Sevier County back to even at 2-2. As for Lenoir City, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-0.
