MaxPreps 2012 All-American Football Team

In the history of American high school football, no one has done it better than Yulee sensation Derrick Henry.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound senior broke Ken Hall's all-time rushing record this fall, as he carried 462 times for 4,261 yards and 55 touchdowns. He finishes his storied career with 12,124 yards and 150 touchdowns.

Henry was an easy choice for 2012 MaxPreps National Player of the Year honors.

Washington quarterback Max Browne, Georgia quarterback DeShaun Watson and running backs Thomas Tyner and Kelvin Taylor were also considered.

First Team Offense

Derrick Henry, RB, 6-3, 240, Yulee (Fla.), Senior
All Henry did as a senior was break the career rushing record held for nearly 50 years by Ken Hall. The Alabama commit rushed 462 times for 4,261 yards and 55 touchdowns, finishing with 12,124 yards.

Jalen Hurd, RB, 6-3, 208, Beech (Hendersonville, Tenn.), Junior
Despite being slowed by injuries, Hurd still managed to rush 317 times for a state-record 3,357 yards and 43 touchdowns. He was named Class AAA Mr. Football.

Thomas Tyner, RB, 6-0, 200, Aloha (Beaverton, Ore.), Senior
It was an incredible bounce-back season for the speedy Tyner, who was injured much of his junior year after a sterling sophomore campaign. The Oregon commit rushed 299 times for 3,415 yards, setting a state single-season record.

Jordan Fieulleteau, WR, 6-3, 200, Wakefield (Raleigh, N.C.), Senior
An All-State selection, Fieulleteau was a favorite target for standout quarterback Connor Mitch. The North Carolina commit grabbed 111 catches for 1,600 yards and 24 scores.

Laquon Treadwell, WR, 6-3, 195, Crete-Monee (Crete, Ill.), Senior
The Chicago Tribune Player of the Year and the NWI Times Player of the Year, Treadwell picked up 81 catches for 1,424 yards and 16 touchdowns. He rushed for seven touchdowns and snagged six interceptions, helping lead Crete-Monee to a state title.

Trey Quinn, WR, 6-1, 190, Barbe (Lake Charles, La.), Junior
If there were a fantasy football draft for high school players, Quinn might be the No. 1 overall pick. He caught 111 passes for 2,094 yards and 26 scores.

Jake Butt, TE, 6-6, 233, Pickerington North (Ohio), Senior
An All-State pick, Butt caught 68 passes for 907 yards and 12 touchdowns while registering 80 tackles and 4 1/ 2 sacks on defense. He is committed to Michigan.

Laremy Tunsil, OL, 6-6, 295, Columbia (Lake City, Fla.), Senior
Perhaps the top offensive lineman in the country, Tunsil helped Columbia to the regional final. He also earned Florida Dairy Farmers Class 6A State Player of the Year honors.

Steven Elmer, OL, 6-6, 305, Midland (Mich.), Senior
The Division 1-2 Player of the Year, the Notre Dame commit paved the way for Midland to gain more than 2,000 yards on the ground and finish 11-1.

Braden Smith, OL, 6-6, 282, South (Olathe, Kan.), Junior
A member of the VarsityKansas Top 11 Team, Smith was dominant on both sides of the ball for Olathe South, which ran behind him on offense 62 percent of the time.

Dorian Johnson, OL, 6-6, 280, Belle Vernon (Pa.), Senior
The Pittsburgh-bound Johnson was a first team Class AAA selection.

Nico Falah, OL, 6-6, 270, St. John Bosco (Bellflower, Calif.), Senior
Falah, a USC commit, was the Trinity League MVP and one of the top linemen in the country.

Will Grier, QB, 6-3, 185, Davidson Day (N.C.), Junior
The Florida commit completed 324 of 414 passes for 5,785 yards and 69 touchdowns, highlighted by a record-setting, 837-yard performance against Harrells Christian Academy on Nov. 9.

Max Browne, QB, 6-5, 220, Skyline (Sammamish, Wash.), Senior
The future USC Trojan capped a marvelous career by throwing for 4,546 yards and 49 touchdowns. He threw for a state record 12,953 yards and 882 completions. His 146 career touchdowns rank third in state history.

Cornelius Elder, ATH, 5-10, 165, Ensworth (Nashville, Tenn.), Senior
The Tennessean's Player of the Year, Elder was a standout athlete for Ensworth. In addition to his work in the secondary, he rushed for 2,618 yards and 39 touchdowns for one of the nation's top teams.

Grif Amies, K, 5-10, 160, Corona del Mar (Newport Beach, Calif.), Senior
Amies made 22 field goals and converted 45 PATs. His 22 field goals were a state record. Named to the Los Angeles Times All-Area Team.
