Despite the loss, Riverside Prep had strong showings from Keion Jordan, who scored ten points, and Marrion Brown, who scored 11 points along with eight rebounds.
Academy for Academic Excellence can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They enjoyed a cozy 59-40 win over University Prep.
Riverside Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Academy for Academic Excellence, their victory bumped their record up to 3-13.
Riverside Prep won a game that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup on January 2nd, slipping by Academy for Academic Excellence 52-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Riverside Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
