The Faith Academy Rams entered their tilt with the UMS-Wright Prep Bulldogs with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Faith Academy came out on top against UMS-Wright Prep by a score of 21-13 on Friday. For Faith Academy, this counts as revenge for the 21-20 loss UMS-Wright Prep walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2022.
Faith Academy can attribute much of their success to Jaeden Simmons, who rushed for 170 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Simmons was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 52 yards.
Faith Academy's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-3. As for UMS-Wright Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Faith Academy will face off against LeFlore at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. LeFlore has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since August 25. As for UMS-Wright Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Williamson at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Williamson is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.
