Baseball Recap: Pine View Beats Carbon for Their Fourth Straight Win

Pine View waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Carbon Dinos a 16-0 shutout. With that win, the Panthers brought their scoring average up to 7.6 runs per game.

Robbie Cardone looked comfortable as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Porter Campbell was incredible, firing off two home runs, nine RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-4. Those home runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kobe Goodman, who scored three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Pine View lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in March of 2024.

Pine View's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-1. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Carbon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Coming up, Pine View will welcome Murray at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Carbon, they will take on Stansbury at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
