The Mingo Central Miners will head out on the road to face off against the Tolsia Rebels at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mingo Central will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.
Mingo Central came out on top against Liberty on Saturday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run second inning. The Miners put the hurt on the Raiders with a sharp 9-2 win. Considering the Miners have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Ciara Brown was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Saturday just wasn't the day for Tolsia's offense. They came up short against Ripley on Saturday, falling 13-0. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Tolsia saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cloey Horn, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Mingo Central moved to 7-9 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Tolsia, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mingo Central hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. However, it's not like Tolsia struggles in that department as they've averaged .342. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mingo Central suffered a grim 12-4 defeat to Tolsia when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Can the Miners avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
