Giddings took a 13-run loss the last time they faced off against Bellville, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Buffaloes came out on top in a nail-biter against the Brahmas on Friday, sneaking past 11-10. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Buffaloes considering their one-run performance the game before.

Giddings saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Corbin Medack, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Medack has posted since back in May of 2024. Another was Ian Velasquez, who scored two runs while going 2-for-5.

Giddings now has a winning record of 8-7-1. As for Bellville, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.

Giddings will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Brahmas: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
