Grantsville proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Morgan Trojans, sneaking past 7-5. Winning may never get old, but the Cowboys sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Grantsville let Addison Durfee and Eden Ressel run wild. Durfee scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-3, while Ressel scored a run while going 2-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave Durfee a new career-high. Emmy Butler also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
Grantsville pushed their record up to 12-6 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.8 runs. As for Morgan, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-5.
