Huss found their leader in sophomore Zaiyir 'Zii' Phillips, who went 10-for-14 en route to 28 points along with eight steals and five rebounds. Thanks to that strong game, Phillips now owns an excellent 45.2% field goal percentage. Antonio Worthy was another key player, shooting 67% from the field on his way to 16 points.
Several Knights players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kellen Karr, who dropped a double-double with 23 points and 12 boards. Huss' win bumped their record up to 18-8. As for North Lincoln, with the defeat, they broke their 16-game winning streak and moved their record to 22-6.
Coming up, Huss will face off against High Point Central on Tuesday. Huss knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 17 matches -- so hopefully High Point Central likes a good challenge.
