There's no place like home for the West Brook Bruins, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Humble 77-42 at home. With West Brook ahead 44-15 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Ashton Simmons was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Keion Irvin, who scored 12 points along with six rebounds.
West Brook pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.8 points per game. As for Humble, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-8.
West Brook will take on Northshore in a holiday battle at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday at. Humble will be home for the holidays to greet Klein Oak at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Klein Oak's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matchups.
