Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Lafayette Commodores, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. Their rough 21-0 loss to Clarksdale on Friday might stick with them for a while. Lafayette's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Nick Thompson threw for 159 yards on 15 of 23 attempts. J'meire Jones was his top target, picking up 106 receiving yards.
Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Clarksdale, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-3.
Lafayette is on the road again on Friday and play against Clarksdale at 7:00 p.m. on November 24th. As for Clarksdale, they will face off against Lafayette at 7:00 p.m.
