Brockway is 0-7 against St. Marys since January of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Brockway Rovers will head out on the road to square off against the St. Marys Flying Dutch at 7:30 p.m. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Brockway's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight defeat. They had to suffer through a rough 49-17 loss at the hands of Ridgway. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Brockway has scored all season.
Meanwhile, St. Marys suffered a tough 61-40 loss at the hands of Elk County Catholic on Friday. St. Marys has not had much luck with Elk County Catholic recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Anthony Nedzinski, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Davis, who scored 12 points.
Brockway has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-18 record this season. As for St. Marys, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-12.
Brockway was dealt a bruising 57-28 loss at the hands of St. Marys when the teams last played back in December of 2023. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Brockway was down 36-16.
