The Pace Academy Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 20 points or more this season. They blew past Luella 63-42. Winning may never get old, but Pace Academy sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.
Leading Pace Academy to victory were Eric Chatfield and Chandler Bing. Chatfield scored 21 points along with three steals, while Bing scored 18 points along with eight rebounds and five steals. The contest was Chatfield's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lamar Moore, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Pace Academy's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.8 points per game. As for Luella, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-9.
Pace Academy will look to defend their home court on Friday against Stockbridge at 7:00 p.m. Stockbridge has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 4. As for Luella, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Zion at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
