Jaylen Davis had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 64 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while also picking up 61 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in receiving touchdowns (two).
Windermere's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB five times. In that department, Justus Vail was the leader with two sacks. Caden Torani was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making 13 total tackles.
Meanwhile, McLaughlin fell victim to Santa Fe Catholic and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Hawks and fell 49-0. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Windermere's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for McLaughlin, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
