Estrella Foothills lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Luke Berrelez, who went 7 for 10 from beyond the arc on his way to 24 points. The dominant performance gave Berrelez a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Hitchcock, who went 6 of 14 en route to 17 points and six rebounds.
Estrella Foothills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Arcadia, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-5.
Estrella Foothills will head out to square off against Deer Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Deer Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four contests -- so hopefully Estrella Foothills likes a good challenge. As for Arcadia, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against St. Mary's at 7:00 p.m. on January 10, 2025.
