The Archbishop Rummel Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell 58-49 to Edna Karr. Archbishop Rummel was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Edna Karr apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Despite the loss, Archbishop Rummel still got an impressive performance from Grant Latino, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jamard Jones, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Archbishop Rummel has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 19-11 record this season. As for Edna Karr, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-7.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Archbishop Rummel will take on Dunham at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Edna Karr, Edna Karr and St. Augustine will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Augustine is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
