The Plaquemine Green Devils will head out on the road to square off against the Zachary Broncos at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Last Tuesday, everything came up roses for Plaquemine on the road against Belaire as the team secured a 56-17 win. Given Plaquemine's advantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 92nd, while Belaire is ranked 347th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Plaquemine got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Saige Molden out in front who scored 11 points along with three steals. Shai Gillis was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six steals.
Meanwhile, everything went Zachary's way against Scotlandville on Tuesday as Zachary made off with a 56-36 win.
Plaquemine's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Zachary, their win was their 12th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-7.
