Baseball Recap: Harrah Wins Going Away Against Meeker

Harrah won the last time they faced Meeker and things went their way on Monday too. Everything went the Harrah Panthers' way against the Meeker Bulldogs as the Harrah Panthers made off with a 9-1 victory. Considering the Panthers have won five matchups by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Cal Whitnah made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Whitnah was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That hit was his first of the season.

In other pitching news, Breysn Webster looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits.

Back at the plate, Brayden Costilla was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Cash Flint, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Harrah pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Meeker, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-2.

Looking ahead, Harrah will challenge Kingston at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Harrah's pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so Kingston's hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Meeker, they will take on Battiest at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
