It was a good run, but the Frostproof Bulldogs unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 79-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lakeland Christian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Frostproof still got an impressive performance from Sevastian Rosado, who scored 37 points along with four steals. That was a full 53.6% of Frostproof's points, marking the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Turral Berry was another key contributor, scoring 18 points.
Frostproof struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Frostproof's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-4. As for Lakeland Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.
Frostproof won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Wesley Chapel at 4:30 p.m. on January 20th. Wesley Chapel knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past 19 contests -- so hopefully Frostproof likes a good challenge. As for Lakeland Christian, Lakeland Christian and Fort Meade will face off at 8:00 p.m. on January 22nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Fort Meade is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games.
