The Covenant Christian Warriors lost against the Triton Central Tigers back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Covenant Christian took a hard 44-30 fall against Triton Central. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Covenant Christian in their matchups with Triton Central: they've now lost nine in a row.
Triton Central was led to victory by Brooklyn Bailey and Maryrose Felling. Bailey scored 14 points along with six rebounds and two blocks, while Felling scored 21 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Hailey Harris, who scored four points along with six rebounds.
Covenant Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Triton Central, their victory bumped their record up to 15-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Covenant Christian will take on Monrovia at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Monrovia has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Triton Central, they will be playing at home against Lawrenceburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Lawrenceburg is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
