The Lithia Springs Lions lost against the Mays Raiders last Saturday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Lithia Springs took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of Mays. Lithia Springs has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Loss or not, Lithia Springs got some senior leadership from Aires Davis and Amaya Richmond. Davis scored 18 points, while Richmond. scored 16 points. Richmond hasn't dropped below 16 points for three straight games. Parris Hawkins was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Chloe Evans continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Mays, dropping a double-double on 27 points and ten rebounds. Evans also posted eight assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Zaniya Compton, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Lithia Springs has not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Mays, their win bumped their record up to 13-9.
Lithia Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mays, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Villa Rica at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Mays is facing Villa Rica at the right time seeing as Villa Rica is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
