Neshaminy and Central Bucks South are an even 4-4 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Skins will challenge the Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Neshaminy will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points last Friday, then bounced right back against Central Bucks East on Friday. The Skins managed a 41-35 victory over the Patriots. The win continues a trend for the Skins in their matchups with the Patriots: they've now won three in a row.
Neshaminy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Clee, who rushed for 151 yards and two TDs on only 12 carries. Clee really tore up the turf during one magnificent 74-yard run. Another signal caller making a difference was Michael Eckart, who threw for 248 yards and four touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes.
Meanwhile, Central Bucks South's game on Friday was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They took down Abington 28-14. Given the Titans' advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 93rd, while the Galloping Ghosts are ranked 269th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Braylen Cape and Colin White. Cape gained 90 total yards and three touchdowns while White rushed for 133 yards and one score on only 15 carries. Those 133 rushing yards gave White a new career-high.
Central Bucks South was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 214 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
On the defensive side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Central Bucks South's defense and their four sacks. Frank Johnston refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.
Neshaminy's record now sits at 6-2. As for Central Bucks South, the victory got them back to even at 4-4.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Neshaminy has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 180.9 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Central Bucks South struggles in that department as they've been averaging 179.4 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Neshaminy was dealt a bruising 35-7 defeat at the hands of Central Bucks South in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Skins, Owen Pinkerton (who rushed for 133 yards and a pair of TDs on only 14 carries, and also threw for 128 yards and one touchdown on only ten passes) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
