The Trenton Tigers will take on the Chiefland Indians at TBD on Thursday. Trenton will be strutting in after a victory while Chiefland will be coming in after a defeat.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Trenton had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They managed a 53-48 victory over the Eagles. The victory was just what Trenton needed coming off of a 80-58 defeat in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Trenton to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kendal Henry, who scored 12 points along with three steals. Nathan Ridgell was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Meanwhile, Chiefland was beaten by Hawthorne 79-51 on Thursday. Chiefland was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-19.
Trenton's win bumped their record up to 13-10. As for Chiefland, their loss dropped their record down to 10-10.
Everything came up roses for Trenton against Chiefland in their previous meeting back in January as the team secured a 74-43 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Trenton since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
