Oneida has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. After both having extra time off, they and the Notre Dame Jugglers will shake off the cobwebs and take on one another at 7:00 p.m. on February 13th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Oneida didn't have too much trouble with Holland Patent at home as they won 49-35. Given Oneida's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while Holland Patent is ranked 367th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
In what's become a running theme this season, Notre Dame gave their fans yet another huge win back in January. They blew past Holland Patent 57-32. Notre Dame pushed the score to 53-25 by the end of the third, a deficit Holland Patent cut but never quite recovered from.
Oneida pushed their record up to 13-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Notre Dame, their win bumped their record up to 9-2.
Oneida might still be hurting after the 62-39 loss they got from Notre Dame in their previous matchup back in January. Can Oneida avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
