Oakleaf won the last time they faced Ponte Vedra and things went their way on Friday too. Oakleaf skirted past Ponte Vedra 6-4.

Jackson Clark looked comfortable as he pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Oakleaf's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Luis Mendoza, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Another was JP Espinosa, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

The victory got Oakleaf back to even at 10-10. As for Ponte Vedra, with the defeat, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oakleaf will head out to face off against Newberry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ponte Vedra, they will venture away from home to challenge Menendez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
