The Wausau West Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 78-50 win over Green Bay East on the road. Considering Wausau West has won three games by more than 27 points this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Bennett Matteson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Those 12 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. Lucas Hager was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Wausau West pushed their record up to 6-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.5 points per game. As for Green Bay East, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-7.
Wausau West will be home for the holidays to greet Stevens Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Stevens Point has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 337 points over their last five contests. As for Green Bay East, they will head out on the road to face off against New London at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. New London presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Green Bay East in Wisconsin (New London is ranked 186th, while Green Bay East is ranked 458th).
