Basketball Game Preview: Mosley Dolphins vs. North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers

Mosley has gone 7-2 against North Bay Haven Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Mosley Dolphins will take on the North Bay Haven Academy Buccaneers at 6:00 p.m.

Mosley's tournament run continued when they took on McGill-Toolen on Saturday. Mosley was dealt a 57-19 defeat at the hands of McGill-Toolen. The contest marked the Dolphins' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Yva Toole put forth a good effort for the losing side as she posted six points and nine rebounds. She is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Even though they lost, Mosley smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in 13 consecutive matches.

While North Bay Haven Academy didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-19), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victor by a 44-18 margin over Franklin County on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Buccaneers have posted since December 5, 2024.

Mosley better keep an eye on Paicey Millirons. She was instrumental in North Bay Haven Academy's win, almost dropping a double-double on 28 points and nine boards. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Goodpaster, who had 12 points in addition to five assists and five steals.

Mosley has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for North Bay Haven Academy, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Everything came up roses for Mosley against North Bay Haven Academy in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, as the team secured a 48-21 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mosley since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
