After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Drummond, the Lincoln Lynx were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They breezed by Victor at home to the tune of 69-22. That 47 point margin sets a new team best for Lincoln this season.
It was another big night for Krymzen Dempster, who scored 20 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Makena Copenhaver, who scored 18 points along with four steals.
Several Pirates players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Nicole Bugli, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Lincoln's win bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Victor, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-11.
Lincoln will be playing in front of their home fans against Drummond at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Drummond will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Lincoln surely won't give up without a fight. As for Victor, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Valley Christian at 6:00 p.m. Victor comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last six games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
