Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Le Roy Oatkan Knights, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 21-13 hit to the loss column at the hands of Salamanca on Saturday. Le Roy's loss signaled the end of their 11-game winning streak.
Several Oatkan Knights players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Drew Strollo, who rushed for 68 yards and two touchdowns.
Le Roy's loss dropped their record down to 11-1. As for Salamanca, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-2.
Le Roy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Salamanca will face off against Waverly at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Waverly is coming into the contest hot, having won their last ten games.
