Kyle Popkes and Brendon Hancock provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Fayette. The connection was good for 71 yards, the longest such play in Lewis & Clark this season.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Westran beat Marceline 35-14. This was the team's sixth consecutive win.
Popkes threw for 353 yards and 4 touchdowns. He was 21-38 with 1 interception.
Hancock was the best receiver in the league this week as Paris defeated the Falcons. Hancock tallied 6 receptions for 103 yards. Slater Stone helped Paris' passing attack out by catching 7 balls for 86 yards.
Leading Lewis & Clark in both passing and receiving yards, the Coyotes' Popkes and Stone have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-0 quarterback Popkes has thrown for 1,502 yards this season, while Stone has 36 catches for 542 yards. Zane Jacoby from Westran leads the league in rushing with 822 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Westran takes on second place Salisbury.
