The Front Range Baptist Falcons had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Denver Waldorf with a sharp 25-4 victory on Friday. The win was just what Front Range Baptist needed coming off of a 51-17 loss in their prior match.
Front Range Baptist's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Hadyn Woods led the charge by scoring 11 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Woods has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Katie Jaques, who scored two points along with nine rebounds and eight steals.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Denver Waldorf struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Front Range Baptist pulled down 15 offensive rebounds.
Front Range Baptist's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-10. As for Denver Waldorf, they dropped their record down to 2-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Front Range Baptist will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Union Colony Prep at 5:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Union Colony Prep is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Denver Waldorf, they will head out on the road to take on Arickaree at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
