The third road contest was the charm for the New Bloomfield Wildcats, as they earned their first road win of the season. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Belle on Monday and snuck past 64-62. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
New Bloomfield's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Wyatt Jordan, who scored 18 points along with 8 rebounds. Jacob Fuhriman was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals.
New Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Belle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
New Bloomfield will head out on the road to face off against South Callaway at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Belle, they will be playing at home against Russellville at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
